Role Overview
The Video Podcast Producer/Editor will be responsible for the end-to-end production of our podcast episodes, including planning, editing, and publishing. This role demands expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro, video/audio editing for various platforms, and a passion for creating engaging content.
Key Responsibilities
Podcast Production and Editing
- Edit and produce high-quality video and audio content for each episode using Adobe Premiere Pro and other relevant software.
- Ensure consistency in quality, branding, and style across all episodes.
- Optimize content for platforms including Spotify, YouTube, Apple Podcasts, and other podcast directories.
- Enhance audio clarity by removing background noise, leveling audio, and adding sound effects as needed.
- Pre-Production
- Collaborate with the podcast host and team to plan episode formats, themes, and content.
- Coordinate recording schedules, guest appearances, and technical requirements.
- Set up and test recording equipment, ensuring optimal audio and video quality.
- Publishing and Distribution
- Manage uploads to YouTube and podcast platforms, ensuring proper metadata, transcripts, subtitles, thumbnails, and descriptions are in place.
- Create short promotional clips, trailers, and teasers for social media.
- Implement SEO best practices to maximize discoverability on platforms like Google, YouTube and Spotify.
- Creative Input
- Suggest innovative approaches to storytelling, episode structure, and visual presentation.
- Contribute ideas for improving the show’s format and engagement.
- Technical Troubleshooting
- Address technical issues with recordings or edits swiftly to meet deadlines.
- Stay updated on platform requirements and trends to ensure compatibility and audience growth.
